Goal
Prinz wanted to enable a closed group of customers to obtain information online regarding poster and LED frames and order them online as well. The company had not been using online stores in the past and lacked the respective experience. In order to mitigate the economic risks, the investment into an online store was to be kept as low as possible. At the same time, the goal was to set up a fully capable online shop with all the features expected from today's technology, and the option of future expansion.

Implementation
suggested that Prinz use a free shop system and initially adapt its features and appearance to their preferences. This is a sensible approach since experience with running an online store can be accumulated at very low cost. Once sufficient experience is obtained, the shop's software can be converted or replaced. After extensive consultation, Prinz opted for the "OXID eSales Community Edition" shop system. This powerful and free shopping software offers a comprehensive management tool. It's adaptable and comes with a large number of useful functions.
set up the online shop software on a server and added an SSL certificate to the domain. The color scheme, logo and arrangement of the shop were adapted to Prinz's specifications. Apart from changing and placing typical control elements, such as login functions, new case differentiations were added to the software. For example, prices were only shown to signed-in users. Unnecessary references to the maker of the shopping software were removed, while adding sensible, search-oriented features.
The online store was provided to the client fully operational, including his most important basic data and sample items.
Screenshots: Many self-experimental installations of professional shop systems fail because of basic flaws. However, Bitpalast® pays attention to the system environment and other technical details from the start.
Work Hours & Price
The fully functional, ready-to-run installation including re-design and software changes only needed approximately 13 hours. The total cost was approximately 800.00 US$ without VAT
